Before First Use

To ensure safe and efficient shipping, your Little Wiwa Play Rug is tightly folded and securely packaged.

When you first unbox your rug, it is completely normal to notice:

• Minor or deep temporary creases or compression marks
• The rug may feel slightly flat due to packaging compression
• A slight size difference of approximately 1-2cm when first unrolled

This happens because the foam layer has been compressed during transit.

To help your play rug return to its full plushness:

• Simply unroll it and let it relax naturally over the next few days.
• As the foam settles and expands with regular use, the play rug will gradually reach and inflate to its intended full 35mm thickness and size and laying completely flat.

Want to Smooth Creases a Little Faster?

1. Lay a slightly damp cotton tea towel over the area
2. Gently iron on low heat, or
3. Lightly steam the surface

⚠️ Always avoid direct or high heat, which can damage the rug.

Everyday Cleaning
For daily care, we recommend:

• Vacuuming regularly using a low suction setting
• Removing crumbs, dust and small debris from the surface
  

Regular light cleaning helps maintain a hygienic and comfortable play space for little ones.

Spot Cleaning

For small spills such as milk, water, food or other minor messes:

1. Blot the spill immediately using a clean, dry cloth or paper towel

2. Prepare a mild detergent mixed with warm water

3. Gently dab the affected area with a soft cloth

4. Avoid rubbing or scrubbing the fabric surface

5. Allow the rug to air dry completely

Prompt cleaning helps prevent stains from setting into the fabric to maintain the longevity and freshness of your play rug.

Deeper Cleaning

For heavier stains such as vomit, food spills or accidents, a steam upholstery cleaner such as *Bissell spot cleaners may be used to help lift stains from the fabric surface.

When using a steam cleaner:

• Follow the cleaner respective manufacturer’s instructions
• Use a gentle or upholstery setting where possible
• Avoid oversaturating the play rug with water

Always allow the play rug to fully air dry before use.

Common Messes Guide

Life with little ones can get messy - here are some quick tips for handling common spills and accidents.

• Milk & Formula

Blot the spill immediately with a clean cloth or paper towel to absorb excess liquid.
Gently dab the area with mild detergent diluted in warm water and allow it to air dry completely.

• Food Spills

Remove any solid pieces first, then gently blot the area using warm water and mild detergent. Avoid rubbing the fabric surface to prevent spreading the stain.

• Vomit

For heavier stains such as vomit:

1. Remove any solids and blot excess moisture immediately

2. Spot clean using mild detergent and warm water

3. For deeper cleaning, a steam upholstery cleaner such as **Bissell spot cleaners may be used to help lift the stain

Allow the rug to fully air dry before placing it back into use.

• Nappy Leaks or Accidents

Blot the area immediately to remove moisture. Clean the affected area with mild detergent and warm water, then allow the rug to air dry completely. For deeper cleaning, an upholstery cleaner may also be used.

Important Care Notes

To keep your play rug looking its best, we recommend the following:

• Do not machine wash
• Do not tumble dry
• Avoid soaking the rug with excessive water
• Do not use bleach or harsh chemical cleaners
• Avoid strong stain removers or solvents

While our play rugs are highly durable, proper care will help maintain the softness and longevity of your play rug.
